There’s a relaxed, pleasant and low key evening vibe in Salema. Two excellent cocktail bars are ideal for a pre or post dinner drink. It’s fair to say that not much goes on in Salema after the sun goes down and it’s most definitely NOT a party town. However, the following bars are open until the early hours, so there’s enough to keep busy if late nights are your thing! Several of the restaurants in Salema have separate bar areas, where non-diners are welcome to enjoy a drink. A lively party scene is readily available in nearby Lagos. So, here’s our guide to bars in Salema…

Aventura Cocktail Bar

This place is small but perfectly formed and most definitely, fantastically unique. We think Salema should be proud of this tiny, trendy bar on Rua Pescadores – which has become something of a local institution amongst Simply Salema guests over the years. Run by friendly Sean and Isabelle, their bar is laid back, stylish, extremely popular and well worth a visit (or five).

Atabua Cocktail Bar

This bar is situated just off the main village square, close to the bottom of Rua Pescadores, near the Boia Bar Restaurant.  A cool place to be with a laid-back ambiance. There’s often sport on TV and music playing. There’s a huge range of drinks on offer and outside seating.

Hotel Residential Bar

Situated in the centre of Salema, this old hotel has a great bar and arguably an even better barman!! Valentino has worked here for years – always providing a professional and fun service. Live sport is normally shown plus you can enjoy a game of darts.
