Brand-new holiday villas coming soon to Salema, Algarve
Our amazing new luxury holiday villas in Portugal have been a long, long time in the making. But it’s been worth the wait and finally, they’re almost complete… We’re so excited!
It was back in late 2018 that we were lucky enough to secure the purchase of 3 adjacent plots of land in Salema with great sea views and just a short walk from the village centre.
Our vision was always to design and consecutively build 3 x perfect villas for holiday rentals. We got to work straight away, commissioning our architect and friend, the eminent Pedro Cavaco, to produce the best and most contemporary luxury villas of his long and distinguished career.
Pedro, who was also the brains behind our beachfront villa Casa das Estevas, worked hard to come up with the ultimate villa drawings and plans. Once we’d signed them off, these were sent to the local Câmara for approval. We were delighted that planning permission for exactly what we wanted to build was granted.
Then the pandemic halted everything, and we had no choice but to wait before we could start the building works. As the world (and holiday industry) slowly returned to normal, the time was finally right to begin construction. The builders moved in in early August 2022 and have been working hard on site ever since. The works have been going perfectly, on time and without glitch.
The villas will be finished and handed over to us in late January 2024. The next couple of months will be spent placing the furniture inside and out and adding everything else a brand-new luxury villa needs. We are open for holiday bookings from April onwards.
What of the villas themselves? What’s so special about them we hear you ask?
Well… For starters, they’re brand spanking new. That is something to write home about, but it’s just the start.
Entrance to the property is via a modern coded door system, plus there’s a double garage with electric car charging point if you’d rather leave your cars undercover.
We think the layout of the villas is as good as it gets and is ideal for the perfect holiday in the Algarve sun. For example, the lounge, dining room and kitchen is one large open-plan space. Bifold doors open out to the poolside terrace where you’ll find the heated pool, children’s pool, Jacuzzi and BBQ area. For socialising as a family or group of friends, we don’t think holiday villas get better than this. Everything will flow seamlessly.
On the lounge / entrance level is bedroom 4. This offers a jack and jill bathroom – which can double up as the service toilet, or, stay locked to the lounge should those staying in that room prefer a private ensuite. It doesn’t really matter as there’s a WC downstairs anyway.
The villas have been designed with every comfort in mind. Behind the kitchen and bedroom 4 you’ll find large doors that lead to the wonderful rear courtyard. This will provide a tranquil escape from the sun, and perhaps also your travel companions when a little peace and quiet is needed!
Downstairs from the lounge level you’ll discover the amazing games room which is sure to be one of the things guests will write home about. Pool, table tennis and darts matches will be on the agenda after sundown!
Upstairs are 3 further ensuite bedrooms, including the stunning master suite with its large ensuite with freestanding bath. On this floor is a beautiful, shaded sun terrace running along the front of the villa.
Head upstairs again and you’ll find yourself staggered by the stunning panoramic ocean, coastal and Salema village views the roof terrace provides.
