Slide & Splash

Located in Lagoa, Slide & Splash is one of the Algarve’s best water parks. Opening way back in 1986, the park boasts a wide array of attractions, including high-speed slides like the Kamikaze and Black Hole, as well as more relaxed options such as the Lazy River and Jacuzzi. For younger visitors, there are dedicated children’s pools and play areas. Additionally, Slide & Splash offers live shows featuring birds of prey, reptiles and tropical birds. The park’s extensive lawns provide ample space for relaxation. Slide & Splash water park is approximately 40 km east of Salema, which takes about 30 minutes in the car.

Aquashow Park

Situated in Quarteira, near Vilamoura, Aquashow Park is a unique blend of water attractions and amusement rides. Visitors can enjoy exhilarating water slides, wave pools and even an indoor water park, unique in the region and a great choice during the winter. Aquashow water park also features roller coasters, bird shows and a variety of rides suitable for different age groups; families and adults. This Algarve water park is about 65 km from Salema, approximately a 50 minute drive.

Zoomarine

Zoomarine Algarve is a popular marine theme park located in Guia, Portugal (60 km from Salema – a 45 minute drive), most suited to families with younger children. It offers a mix of animal shows, educational exhibits, water attractions and amusement rides. Visitors can enjoy dolphin and sea lion performances, an aquarium, a 4D cinema and a tropical bird habitat. The park also features a large wave pool, water slides, and a lazy river, making it a great destination for families. It is also possible to swim with the dolphins for an additional charge.

Aqualand Algarve

Aqualand Algarve, located in Alcantarilha, is another water park in the region, albeit a little less modern than the other three. Aqualand water park offers a variety of slides and pools catering for all ages. It takes about 45 minutes to drive to Aqualand from Salema (50 km).
